4 stone engagement ring, looks like one?

At the request of my boyfriend of 4+ years I have been looking at engagement rings to get an idea of what I like. I saw one I loved...it looks like a traditional 3 stone ring, but the center diamond is actually 4 smaller ones put together to resemble a square cut diamond. It cut the cost down significantly and made is sparkle so much! I can't remember if there was a name to this style. I love my bf, but he wont remember a description, a name I could write down for him would be easier. Any one know what I am talking about here?

I know EXACTLY what you are talkin about, one of my best friends has one like what you are talkin about…..could you print out a pic of one and give it to him, that way he has something to take to a jeweler? from the description on one I’m seeing on reeds.com it says its 4 invisible set princess diamonds…and I’m including a link to another one….hope it helps!

I do!!! I saw the same setting the other day, I am also shopping because my man asked me to give him an idea of what I like. I found this ring with a big square diamond, and it is actually 4 smaller ones stuck together. It sparkled so much, yet looks like a big, big diamond. I loved the idea. My only concern is how they stick them together? Would the stones be more likely to fall out??? It is a gorgeous design and I think I am leaning towards the same setting. Anyway, when you are at the jeweller, ask them to write the serial number of the ring onto a jewellers card. Most jewellers will do this for you. You can then give your fiance a couple of cards and let him choose the one he prefers……Or just the card of the one you really want and say, I love this one, see what you think….Good luck and congratulations.
