I have a thought or two on this, Maxine. I noted some time back a brief discussion of whether or not a certain blog should be added, and added it was. What struck me was that I had mentioned FF to the blogger some time back and he was not enthusiastic about it, so I rather wondered if he was asked before his blog was added? He doesn’t comment here, but his blog is notable for sustained discussions, and I’ll come back to that in a line or two. Now, FF has great benefits of all sorts, one of which is the very convenient bringing together of links to blogs, articles and other postings, and for that reason I think having blogs of bloggers who don’t comment is fine. The reason I think bloggers should be asked before they are added is that being on FF has a considerable effect on discussion, and this can be a disadvantage. That was the reason the reluctant blogger mentioned above didn’t put his blog on here himself. When FF first started, I posted a comment on a blog site in response to a question, only by chance to find a rebuttal of what I had said posted on FF, not on the blog. So where I am supposed to post my response to the rebuttal? was my thought. I’m still not sure about this. I’m not a twitterish, sort of person, by which I mean I tend to post longer comments on larger matters, wolfing rather than pecking, really too long for FF, but if a discussion starts here, there’s no point in posting a comment on the blog itself, for everyone will be looking here. It is this dispersion of comments and its effect on sustained and substantial discussion that makes that blogger reluctant and still confuses me at times, but to have a non-commenting blogger is no deficit here, for knowledge of the blog and the post is provided and people may then choose to comment on the issue in hand on the blog itself, if all this is agreeable to the blogger. I’ve rather got out of the habit of checking to see if there are comments on a post on the blog itself if discussion is underway here, I must confess, especially as it is not always easy to return to FF from a blog — impossible in some cases, which means I have to start from scratch. And so, I would leave non-commenting bloggers on here for the convenience of confluence. I would ask bloggers before adding them. And I would bear in mind that FF has had an effect on the character of discussion, splitting between blog and FF, and bloggers particularly concerned with substantive and sustained discussion may wish to avoid that. Even the finest of things may have a disadvantage, and I think if FF has one, that is it.
The kind of sign that I would prefer on a building is one with neon lights that spreads the word around to millions of people stating why there should be a permanent end to Animal Cruelty / Abuse, & Animal Experimentation.
Both methods have the exact same result, but the execution is slightly different. A regular Propose…Engagement is the traditional, guy-gets-down-on-one-knee method. Surprise Engagement can only be done when both Sims are seated at a table, and the Sim proposing will slide the jewelry box across the table. I think that one is more sweet and spontaneous, but you can do whichever you like. I don't think Sims have wants to propose a specific way. Either way, hopefully the other Sim will expect and then you'll get to plan the wedding!

This video is useful if you want a diamond, but I know many girls including myself don’t like diamond engagement rings. They’re just so boring looking. I don’t understand the allure of them. There are a good handful of girls who prefer a non-diamond engagement ring. I chose topaz and yellow gold. We spent 200 dollars or so on an antique ring at Alana’s and it’s very beautiful with vines all around the band (cut out and detailed). So don’t assume to get a diamond!
